Dear Residents:
Just a heads up that VEXUS Fiber has been approved by the City, as required by law, to lay fiber optic lines in Fontainebleau in coming weeks. VEXUS will then become an option for Fontainebleau homeowners for high speed internet and phone services.  The work will be done street by street if possible and the schedule will be publicized as it becomes available.  You should be receiving an initial notification flyer from VEXUS in the coming days.
This work is being coordinated with the City of Mandeville Public Works Dept.
A few questions and answers:
Q:  Will they need to go on my property?
A: According to the City: “Most of the work will be installed within the road right of way or a utility servitude. To help you get a point of reference, all of the current electrical and communication pedestals are installed within the road right of way or a utility servitude.
Vexus has agreed to ensure the areas at and around their work locations will be restored to its original location.”
If you have any issues or questions for VEXUS during their operations, you may contact them directly and also inform Mandeville Public Works.   Contact Info below.
Q:   Do I need to do anything?
A:  811 Locates, a state agency, will mark the location of all utility infrastructures in the right of way.  If you have irrigation/sprinklers, drains, lighting or any wiring in the right of way area, homeowners must flag these as “811 Locates”  will not locate and mark private systems.  This includes any specially connected drains. Culverts will be noted by VEXUS and care taken while digging, but homeowners need to mark/identify any drainage connected to the culvert.   White marker flags are available from VEXUS.  Call Bill Rose at 985-634-5025 to request flags.
Q:  What will actually happen when they get to my street?
A:  It will be messy but fast.  No driveways will be blocked or dug up.  More details on the actual construction process to come.
Q:   Will they be adding more “utility poles” to my yard?
A:   No.  The good news is that their access panels are flat on the ground or below ground.  No new “poles”.

So recycling will be picked up today (Wednesday) and the trash will be picked up tomorrow (Thursday). They "said" that if you have both cans out today, only the recycling will be picked up today....
